Catherine Elizabeth Gibson and Colin Alexander Luba were united in marriage on September 24, 2016, in Jackson, Mississippi. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Edward (Teddy) Gibson, Jr., of Jackson, and the granddaughter of Mr. John Bernard Hooker and the late Melinda Bone Hooker of Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Edward Gibson of Natchez, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Robyn) Brown of Natchez. The groom is the son of Dr. and Mr. Norman K. Luba of Louisville, Kentucky, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Norman F. Luba of Terryville, Connecticut, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Irving W. Doyle of Massapequa, New York.

 

The ceremony was held at Christ United Methodist Church in Jackson and officiated by Reverend Bob Rambo and Reverend Frank Haynes. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Curtis Edward (Teddy) Gibson, Jr.

 

The bride’s sister, Mary Paxton Gibson of Bloomington, Indiana, served as the maid of honor. Ayana Fletcher-Tyson of Nashville, Tennessee; Elizabeth Myers Foxworth of Columbia, Mississippi; Emma Carol Killingsworth of Destin, Florida; Lillian Chloe Lloyd of Oxford, Mississippi; and Caroline Charette Cradick, Morgan Caroline Hale, Mary Love McLarty, and Nicole Marie Veale, all of Dallas, Texas, served as bridesmaids. The bride’s House Party included Alexa Michelle Dow and Natalie Alexandra Leitch of Dallas, Texas, and Suzanne Noelle Ritzdorf of New York, New York.

 

Christopher Warren Luba of St. Louis, Missouri, the groom’s brother, served as best man. Andrew Douglas Bird and Patrick Christian Edlin of Louisville, Kentucky; William Wilson Blair and Faiz Ahmed Sayed of Dallas, Texas; William Dalton Gibson of Jackson, Mississippi; Richard Calvin Green III of Denver, Colorado; Conor Egan Law of Washington, District of Columbia; and George Stephen Wright of Nashville, Tennessee, served as groomsmen. The ring bearer was Grayson David Bird.

 

Ceremony and reception floral design was by William Box, owner of William Box Designs. Wedding Coordination was by Meredith McCullough, owner of Stella & Company Events.

 

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at The Lakehouse. The guests enjoyed music by Barry Leach and Raphael Semmes and a live painting by Wyatt Waters. The couple was sent off by a parade of sparklers and departed by boat on the Ross Barnett Reservoir. Following their honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple is now at home in Dallas, Texas.
